Make Your Own Gift Tags

Gift Tags

These gift tags are a great idea! They dress up any gift and best of all you don’t need a card. Follow the easy step-by-step instructions.

Materials: Cardstock (any color), decorative paper, scissors or paper cutter (my preference), printer, computer, hole punch (1/8 size), and glue stick.

Step One: Type up whatever you wish to have on your tag in a word processor. For instance my tag reads: Happy Halloween! Thank you for everything.

Step Two: I add some clipart before printing.

Step Three: Print your tag on cardstock (I’ve used white cardstock).

Step Four: Cut out the tag.

Step Five: Place the tag on top of decorative paper or cardstock. (I used green striped decorative paper that I purchased at Michaels).

Step Six: Put a hole in the upper left hand corner of your tag and attach to any gift.

Step One: Choose a decorative paper (preferably cardstock for durability reasons). You will need two different kinds of paper as well as white card stock.

Step Two: Type your name in a large font (15-20). Below the name type any information you would like to include. For example, phone number, address, email, etc. Note: Be sure to leave space between your name and information. You will be pasting your name on the front of the tag and your information on the back.

Step Three: Once you have printed out your information on white cardstock cut it out and paste it on colorful or decorative paper. Make sure the decorative paper is just a little bigger. In the tag below, the white cardstock (with the information) was placed over a pink square pattern paper.

Step Four: The last step, if you choose to do so, would be to place the tag on a third type of paper. In the tag below, a bright green cardstock was chosen as the third layer.

Now you have a cute bag tag that can be spotted anywhere!
